Flava dolls were a line of dolls produced by the company Mattel in 2003. The dolls were aimed at African American and Hispanic markets and were created to represent "urban" culture. They were designed to reflect contemporary fashion trends, with each doll having its own unique style and personality. The dolls were 11.5 inches tall with fully articulated bodies and featured detailed facial features and hairstyles. The line included four original characters: Happy D, Diamond, Checka, and C-Tru. Each character had its own backstory detailing their interests and hobbies. The Flava dolls were marketed towards tweens and preteens, with their clothing and accessories also being sold separately. The line was discontinued in 2004 due to poor sales.
